i was rummaging around and found a bunch of pics of my SV and FC on the computer and thought i'd share :D

i started to grind on my toes sliders, then i tucked those in and finally got my knee down consistently (cloverleafs are fun). all this was a month before i went up to sewanee tenn. me and 2 of my buddies (both on R1's  ) went up there to go ride on some nice togue. my friends were knee draggin' and leaving me in the dust. well its starts drizzling, and we keep going, we're all like "well the road is all right and we're still getting good grip so lets get another run in". well you know how last runs are, i shouldn't have pushed it, but i did, and i'm lucky to be alive. lets just say 70mph + mountain road + sv650 - rain tires = lose. i did have my leathers on and i don't think i'd ever ride again without them. i walked away without a scratch. i was sore for like 2 weeks and had to get my back x-rayed, but all in all it wasn't as bad as it could've been. i was planning to do a track day a few weeks after that too.
well here she is when i last her.

i fell on my left side and with how the right is fucked up i'm guessing it took a little tumble when it went in the ditch that we ended up in. it was like yeah, i'm getting really low, knee touches down (yeah!), then my calf (uh oh..), then my elbow is on the ground and i see my bike sliding away from me (FUCK!). everything went into slomo and i was like "i'm gonna crash, i've never crashed before, i think this is gonna hurt". after the FOERST impact and i start tumbling i close my eyes, and its just bad sounds and dull thuds. i open my eyes and i'm breathing really hard, and i see if my toes move. then my fingers. i lay around for a few seconds and get up. i take undo the top of my leathers, and wait for my friends to come back. when i was laying there i was thinking how i could die right there on that mountain by myself. it was a big reality check. so don't learn the same way i did and think about what you're doing when you're riding/driving fast and don't let your ego make you do stupid shit.

Good pics. I had that thing shooting flames in the driveway Sunday. Fire and exhaust is a beautiful thing. :D It's gonna look way different in a year from now in Formula D trim.

I miss that garage. :(

Those bike pictures are crazy, son! I'm glad you walked away from that without getting hurt too bad. Do you still have the bike? It definitely was a beaut!

I like the li'l airplane sticker on the bottom of the fork:

No I haven't traced down the oil leak yet, but I know how I'm going to fix it; 13BREW. :D Or if I get really crazy, a 20B. Yeah that was an interesting BOV setup. Do you still have the intercooler? Forgot to pick it up with the car and I think it'll work perfect in the MR2.

oh no, sorry about the confusion. it just so happens that the one on there now (that sucks) was made by an old shop called unstable hybrids and the new one is from a brand called hybrid. slightly confusing now that i look at it :).

Oh, good stuff :D That new intercooler looks really nice, I am sure it will add that little extra bit there, maybe flow air a bit better. Never can tell :D some intercoolers just aren't as efficient as others. Plus it will be shiny

the insurance totalled the bike and took my baby away
i WAS gonna pick me up a 600RR to replace her, but the insurance guys were being dicks and didn't pay off the lender until like 4 months afterwards, and then there was financial issues that happened in the family, and no more motorbike for me.

the sticker was from this magazine called streetfighters from the UK. its all custom sport bikes. whats kinda weird is that i see that orido has a bunch of gear with a streetfighters logo on it (firesuit, jacket, etc.) , so i guess he's into UK custom japanese sport bikes. i'm pretty sure i still have the sticker at my parents house. i think i took all of them off and stuck them on my toolbox. its like a fighter, then the x with brass knuckles inside it, and i can't recall whats on the bottom, but its pretty rad. :D
