so who's going? who's showing? who's gonna participate in the drift event? this year it is to be held in the middle of it all, instead of outside the speedway like last year.
are the DMs gonna show out as a crew again? or are we just going in seperately?
with everything thats been done to the GC, i want to give props to Gr8Wheels/JDMimporters for importing the RA and performing my conversion. great adverstising for them if i take FOERST again this year.
i didnt want to register until i knew whether the DMs were all going to show or if it was going to be register if you want thing.

i was just thinking about the same thing earlier today, glad you brought it up. i'm really not quite sure what i'm gonna do this year (i'd obviously love to be in the drift demo, but i don't think the odds of that happening are very high but maybe i could at least pull my car in there as a back-up or something

). the show itself doesn't really appeal to me but it does give us a nice place to keep our stuff so if a few of us are down, i'd probably enter as long as someone else can ride in with me and split the cost (although we might be able to get press passes again which may eliminate the need to even buy a ticket, but i'm not sure). if anyone has any other ideas feel free to let us know though.

The DURTY DUBS are trying to get people to join with them again. They won 1000 bucks for the largest club last year. The 2 people who run it said they were going to do something for us with the money, then started whining that the doorprizes they gave us were to show appreciation for us entering with them.
Long story short, they lined their pockets with $1000 that should have gone back to the community.
oh so my point was, not to join with the durty dubs.

hmm....2 other interesting things i've found about the drift stuff this year:
for one, it looks like it'll be inside
and two, this is the pic listed under the "drifting" section of nopinationals.com
i had no idea that RSR was behind it this time

cody: did you see the times for the drifting? will be going on like every two/three hours.
so far it seems if anyone is going to go, they are parking outside and going inside for an hour or two and then leaving. thus no one seems to be registering. so i guess i will be registering as a subaru in the subaru area. well i figure this will probably be the last year i register, and maybe the last year i attend.

thought of going to nopi has been in and out of my mind. Most likely I would go and it would be awsome if I could be part of the drift exhibition. However, the site does not help as much as I would like. Does anyone have any extra info on this?

you can register under Z1 Motorsports, for the red lot, and if they win they are taking all the money doing a cookout and dyno day at there shop

ok, thought i'd bring this back real quick to get an idea of who's doing what...
right now, i'm definately going and shooting pics for the mag/helping out with the booth, but i've also been slightly tempted to enter my car again to assure me getting in without hassle (since you have to get your press passes inside and all that, and it could be a little tricky). nissan infiniti owners club also has the red lot and i was tempted to enter with them just to get a good spot, but i was wondering if anyone was thinking about going and wanted to ride in with me and split the cost. if so, let me know as i may try to register today.

i haven't decided yet. I'm still working on getting some press passes. But if that doesn't work, I'll see about registering my car and having someone ride in with me; splitting the cost.
On the other hand.....I was supposed to drive down to Orlando this weekend to take pics of restaruant that I'm doing a website for. So, its all up in the air right now. I may not go at all. I was a little bored with NOPI last year.
