3. General tech inspection guidelines --
a. Battery tie down -- you must have a strong battery tie down (preferably metal). Bungee cords are no good. Do not even bother getting in the tech line if your battery is not secured well. Battery boxes must be similarly secured.
b. Seat belts -- you must have a functional 3 (or more) point seat belt that is securely fastened.
c. Seat bolts -- make sure all your seat bolts are tight and present. You will not be able to drive with less than 4 bolts holding your seat to the chassis.
d. Lug Nuts / Studs -- you must have all lug nuts and studs per wheel. 3/4 or 4/5 lugs/studs fails tech. No exceptions.
e. Wheel bearings -- must not exhibit excessive play.

You must be 18 to drive by yourself. If you are a licensed driver under 18 and would like to participate, you must have a parent or guardian present with ID to sign the minor waiver.

I don't know if I'll slide in this one or not. All depends on my stupid car.

i seriously contemplated selling it the last couple of days. But it really wouldn't benefit me that much, so I guess I'll keep the damn thing.

luckily i don't drive mine every day now, or it might be in a lake.

yancey and james told me it was making some crazy loud noise on the way up to fudds tonight, so that gives me something else fun to figure out (i didn't hear it though, so i'll probably just ignore it). plus, i've still gotta fix my fuel rail and figure out why my car has suddenly started handling like a boat (i'm gussing tie rods/alignment, and i hope thats it).

Don't do that. It will only cause more problems down the line.

dont think its just 240s. the GC has some crazy rattle going on. looks like the turbo heat shield is cracked right at one of the mounting points, plus one of my exhaust hangers is split, and i have a small coolant leak somewhere. help!
hopefully after once i get a good chance to look it over i will find it, but am afraid the heat wrap on the headers is falling apart and now something is melting a radiator hose.

I just realized I won't be able to make this one. Something is going on in Atlanta that weekend.
