After 269,000 miles....my transmission finally bit the dust this morning.

But what really chaps my ass is that I was going to put it up for sale next week. :bash:

Hit the 240 boards if all else fails for a cheap KA trans from someone trying to get rid of it after an SR swap. Such is why I have little desire to get rid of mine. Parts are cheap

.
Plus 269,000 is very good for a stock tranny thats dealt with abuse.
Or do you have an SR?

yea....they do; a couple actually. Problem is that Top Hat is extremely backed up, so its going to be a little difficult to get my car in there to do the swap. Cody's car is taking my spot on the lift LOL
After speaking with my dad, he's looking around his lot to find me a vehicle in which I can purchase; a daily driver. I'll rock that out until the 14 gets fixed. Once it is fixed, I'll put it up for sale. MY tentative plan is to use that money and purchase a s13 chassis (really nice 350z burnt orange color), throw a KA-T in it and use the remaining money for a down payment on a tow vehicle. Hopefully the vehicle my dad finds for me will be capable of towing another car. That will determine whether or not I keep it or sell it too.
Until then....I'll be rawking out my uncle's Accord.

I'll see if some of the local shops here have any. Zen did all kinds of sr swaps so they may have one or two laying around. I know for sure one of my buddy's s13 coupes is coming up for sale in a week or two as soon as we get a fresh motor dropped in it. It was boosted, running around 13ish psi on .60 exh .63 comp t3/t4. He trapped 111 in it. 6 puck clutch + lsd for the win! He finally blew a ring land due to poor tuning at a shop in Montgomery, but it was a beast for being on a stock motor. Body is in good shape with s14 interior. I will miss that car. Oh wells.. I will post up if I find anything around here.
