I think I decided today while running tandem merely inches away from martymartymarty.net today at the DG event that I'm going to opt out on the San Diego qualifier. I have been nothing but stressed about getting the car prepped & arranging transport. I think despite the reasons I SHOULD go & reasons I WANT to go alike... San Diego is just too far for me to trek to for 5-8 runs in a more-or-less stock car. All I really want to do is FD Atlanta this year, and the cost to qualify to do so is simply not justifying itself.

Today especially made me realize that Atlanta is going to have THE most kick-ass scene on the east coast this year. PERIOD. I don't need to trek 5200 miles in one week across the nation twice to try and validate my ability to drive at a competitive level this year.

I want to stay local this season, and support the scene that is about to erupt here beyond control. It was absolutely awesome today to ride with some of you and lend a helping hand to get you sliding in the right direction. I would really hate to miss out on more of those opportunities because I am busy towing the car across the nation to go drive by myself. Everyone here is getting SO gawt-damned good... and I want to do what I can to help.

ATL is where it's at... end of story. The world will soon feel the wrath that the durty drrrty is about to unleash... and I can't wait.

Dude, today ruled all other days. ATL has the talent, now we need to let everyone else know. Not just me, not just you, ALL OF US. Let's make this season taking everyone elses local seasons over.

faggots......

I think your making a smart decision. U as a driver have out grown your car. Its time to bring the car up to your level, that is your limiting factor right know. Its also like Doug said, he is 6months back on the learning curve w/ the new setup. So the longer you wait the more its going to set u back when you do upgrade to boost. Same goes for you martymartymarty.net, booost it, and i'll put another cage in.

Glad to hear you came to a reasonable decision. Im sure this will be better for you as well as everyone, it will save you the time/money to be able to build your car (like Adam said) to match your driving abilities. Once thats done then you can be competitive, it will also help new drivers by allowing them guidance from drivers like yourself/Erin/Adam/martymartymarty.net/Tony/Erik/Dennis/all the other people who instruct at events, to bring up a larger group of talented drivers. Glad to hear you finally came to a decision and hope everything works out for the best.

I think your right Andy, 06' is gonna be packed with events. Atlanta has a lot going for it as a local scene. Its also good to know you'll be around this year to give instruction.

Let's get better... not better drivers, but better in handling ourselves and our anxieties while under pressure.

Make it a point to try new things and always be different while being consistant.

We'll make a killing in '07.

I'm behind you fools all the way!
