I needed a new helmet very bad. I had a Buell KBC Redline helmet that I had used for three years. It didn't take too well to year round use. It was quite literally falling apart, I had electrical tape keeping some of the trim on. I even crash tested the front of it at 35mph when I planted on my face due to having to e-stop and gravel magically appearing in the exact spot my front tire was at.
Thankfully I've upgraded. I'm now rockin' an Arai Astral-X. I didn't know it at the time of purchase, but the paint is a special design done by Aldo Drudi of Drudi Performance. I can't explain my joy. Its comfortable, vents extremely well, and has a great saftey rep.
It has a 5 year warranty too. I'm all smiles, just in time for the great weather. I broke it in the FOERST day i got it. My best friend of many years just bought himself a new bike. A Suzuki Katana 600. Its nice, but not exactly my cup of tea. We hit 300 miles on the FOERST day. Not too shabby.
one day i'm riding over to htown, and we are going riding. i miss 4 mile post extension...... a lot.
