Last night, Darth Vader came down from planet Vulcan and told me that if I didn't keep quoting "Back To The Future" that he'd melt my brain.

Bumping an ol' thread with some new updates.

Before FD Atlanta... I went to town on the lower signal/DRL housings to blast'm with a shot of yellow to match the BMW. Got some 3000K HID's installed, and some yellow DRL bulbs as well.


While I had the entire front grille off the truck, I dropped it off at Jeffs to have all the chrome bits painted to match the body color. I also re-wrapped the Chevy emblem in black vinyl.
Looks SO much tougher now. Next step is to rid the truck of the chrome bits on the door moldings too. Mayyybe in the long-run I'll do the same to the chrome bumpers. I dunno though.


And I finally just broke down and snagged a box for the bed. The fact that I've cleaned the rear seat SEVERAL TIMES... and shit is still getting soaked in BBQ/animal fat juices when it sits on the seat basically upped my timetable on getting it. I'm tired of shit I put in the back seat smelling like BBQ. It's fucking GROSS.

Yeah after FD Atlanta, Falken GRACIOUSLY gave us ALLLLLLL of their catering. There was enough BBQ there to feed EVERYONE at the event. Seriously. Someone stacked the catering platters in the back seat... like 8-9 of them. After everyone started digging into them, they inevitably leaked ALL OVER my seats. My truck still smells fucking GROSS. I've had it professionally cleaned... and I've cleaned it with a Big Green Cleaning Machine twice.

Shit is hella soaked into the foam. It is so gross.

buy some odo-ban and literally soak the seat with it in a spray bottle..

I'm down to try that. I think because everything was so greasy/animal fatty, that it is really hard to get out. Howard mentioned I'd need to take the seat apart and really rinse the foam out like... a ring it out a ton to get it all out.

yeah... doing what howard said might be the best way. you'll have to remove the cover and then reattach it. if you need to... i've got a set of hog-ring pliers and hog rings if you need to put the cover back on it.

i've read you can also use lots of butcher paper and heat from like a hair dryer.. heat it up and then blot with the butcher paper. you'll have to repeat lots though so it can soak all of it out.
