That's a great looking motor! It'll be nice to have it back in business! You should really start focusing on suspension stuffs after that!

FUCK! my dad just called me from the mechanic's shop.......the motor is a fucking OBD2 motor!

We told the guy that we bought the motor from that I had a '95 (OBD1!!!!). damnit...what a moron!
This is going to require me either selling the motor and getting a different one or converting all the electronic shit to OBD2 ($$$$$$$). I can't believe this shit! I'll keep you guys posted.

ok....this shit is not cool. I'm on a emotional rollercoaster with this car. My dad's mechanic has the ability to get the OBD1 to work with the OBD2 ecu. However, he does have to change out the harness and do some plugging of vacuum lines. And don't know how the hell he's doing it, but he is. From what my pops jus told me.....my car will be running by the end of the day!!! and I can still pick it up tomorrow night! ewww.....that was a close one.

keep your obd1 ecu.
use your obd1 engine harness
swap intake manifolds
plug up egr pipe for hell of it
cap off unused vacuum lines.
done. its really that simple.
my 97 is obd1 converted. i pulled off everything obd-2 plus more. evap canister, egr stuff, 2nd o2 sensor, map/baro solenoid, map sensor, bypassed throttle body coolant lines. i have some dangling unused sensors i just hid them and taped them up. and i am still running an obd-2 ecu with about 10 check engine light codes, but the car runs like it was stock. smooth.
good luck.

I looked up 1995 - Nissan 240SX - Engine on
http://www.car-part.com/ and came up with quite a few low mileage longblocks, some local too.

Update: the mechanic was having trouble getting past the stock security system. There was as faulty sensor connected to the clutch which kept the car from starting. But the mechanic was able to get around it and started the car this morning!! yay!
I'll go pick up the car either tonight (friday) or saturday.
on a side note: i'm doing some research and may go with a DSM turbo setup.

UPDATE:
the car is running....really well!!! Other than the brand new clutch slipping like a SOB, it feels really strong. Thats the right, the clutch is slipping

Hopefully after i adjust it everything will work itself out. The mechanic did an amazing job with the install itself. he was able to swap out the motors and rewire the new harness to compensate for the OBD1/OBD2 "mishap" within 4 hours! Pretty freaking quick if you ask me. However, he did bend my hood slightly and get oil all over my car

I'm not sure how he bent the hood, but he did and it really pisses me off. oh well....gives me an excuse for a CF hood now

In the end, me and my dad spent a combined total of $1900!!! but atleast I have my baby back!
The next order of business will be a set of Brembo Rotors. My current rotors are worped to shit and are in desperate need of replacing. I also have a Navan Grill coming in this week. Then i move on to the susupension! yay! dorifto!
Even though, the plans went a different route, I appreciate you'lls support and willingness to help me out.
Fantas for everyone!!!!
