i want to take awesome pics like Cap, I got a new (well was new when i bought it a year ago) Canon Powershot S40 its the last of the silver design then the black on came out for the S50. Any good tips or hints to take good pics and like to setup my cam?

I shoot w/ a Canon 10d 75-300L lens at all the drift events. Although I would have to agree that canon is better than Nikon for many reasons, don’t be too concerned w/ Shutter Speed. Believe it or not I shoot 99% of all the drift events under 1/125. I get good motion blur at about 1/45. Digital is more practical than film (in my opinion), but like me I think you guys will have trouble getting use to the Adjustable White Balance.

P.S. For those who are coming to Drift Showoff in DC, you more than welcome to give the 10d a try if you want.
