when I put in the new KA, a new OEM clutch went in with it. but even after adjusting it look and listen to it slip!
the vid is of me driving down the interestate in 5th gear. watch the RPMs as I TAP the gas.

I've already determined what the problem is. There's a bar that engages and disengages the clutch was broken during the install of the motor. So I have to order a new one and drive with this one until then.
as of right now, the clutch only slipps really bad when it's really hot. otherwise, it's fairly drivable. But at the time of this video...I could barely get it to move an inch.

did you break that pivot ball off on the trans. bellhousing. You might as well throw the clutch plate in the trash., slipping it with out bedding it correctly only means problems down the road.

i'm not sure. i guess it's possible. But from what a mechanic and a friend told me....it's might be the clutch fork. hopefully tomorrow I'll jack the car up and find out what the hell is going on.

I broke the bolt that was the pivot point for the clutch fork that attaches to the slave cylinder. So the fork was doing little NADA. I couldnt hardly get my car in gear or out again but once it was in gear it drove fine and never slipped. I just couldnt CHANGE gears to save my life. The bar you are talking about is probabbly the same one. It goes from the in slave cylinder into the bell housing. I got another bolt from the KA tranny on my deck to replace my broken one. The tranny had to be dropped and I replace the slave cylinder to be on the safe side.
