Possible Drift Event - Mongomery Motorsports Park: abalambala

I just talked to a client of ours, who owns Mongomery Motorsports Park in abalambala. I talked over some ideas with him about setting up a drift event there.

There isn't a whole lot of parking space to run with, if I recall correctly... HOWEVER... there is the pit-area. I remember the pits (not the hot pits... just the pits) being large enough to work something out. He said we could have the event in the pits, and pit our cars in the hot pits.

We would have to try and provide the insurance... and we'd have to have a really good turnout. Maybe DGTrials could lend a hand. He said he's got openings in October that we could do it.

He is going to take pictures of the pit-area and send them to me to see what I think. He said he'd rent the track for cheap, because he really wouldn't need much personell (track, fuel, etc) there.

Either way... it's some initial hope that we can get something going around here soon. The track is only two hours from here if my memory serves me correctly.

Montgomery is about 20 minutes from my hometown. My sister works there. I've never been to the motorsports park, but I went to the drag strip in Montgomery one night.

Lemme know if you need any info on the area. If I don't know it, i can sure find out.

That should be the one... we went there once & that's all that it really was... a 1/4 strip. I remember that pit area being large enough, I'm just waiting on the pictures.
