Turbo manafold/turbo seperation
So on the way home from the Gymkhana event my turbo started coming free from the manafold. I got home and started tighting up the bolts but I've got them as tight as I can and it is still leaking. Could this have messed up the turbo gasket to the manafold?
If so what is the U.S part? 300Z TT?

Another way is to "damage" the threads just above the nut by hitting them with a chisel. Doesn't take much for the nut to hold down, but it'll take a little bit of work next time you want them to come off.
<12 -- We really don't know what it means either.

don't hate cause you don't have one
what he said...
I'm going to put the stock nut lockey thingies back on. I used the hardware that came with the Megan manafold...
oh, on the Flex pipe. I do have one. current set up is...
Megan, manafild to turbo, to Megan turbo out to Megan down pipe (with flex) to megan test pipe to Greddy knok off cat back system.
I got all of the megan stuff together as a package for $400 that is why there is so much Megan stuff.
I'm hoping the Mafold doesn't crack, but I have sold engine mounts (hard solid plastic) and Transmission mount (alum) All MMR-Racing (thanks Patrick)
BTW thanks for the help guys!
the manifold will crack. it is just a matter of time, not trying to say it will happen tommrow but at some time it will happen. make sure you put the braket that bolt the turbo to the flange so that pipes are not holding the weight of the turbo. that is the main killer. and having a flex pipe in the down pipe is spose to help a lot too.

also xatracing.com almost always has that in stock.
another preventative maintenance thing you can do is like icandrift said, metal locknuts, plus lockwashers will help.
or you can be a baller and run vband....on a megan manifold.
i wish i had a ka-t so i could have a vband on a megan manifold, then i would be a cool kid

what is "vband"?
I had lock washers and locktight and they still came off.

also that wouldnt work that well on the manifold to turbo unless you are running a small turbo. you can also add bracing and stuff. locknuts and stuff should do the trick, i just dont like welding because thats a pita if you have to add/remove something.
you can also do like icantdrift said, and put a lsjuan in it.
