~3:00pm Quick Meeting for
~3:15pm Qualifying A
~4:00pm Qualifying B
~4:45pm Qualifying C
~5:00pm announcement

We are aiming to give you 10 practice runs at a minimum per driver. There is a chance we could add a run or 2 before qualifying if we are ahead of schedule. Realize that NOPI events that you are trying to get a license for have similar numbers of practice runs before qualifying (about 10-12 runs).

"Its going to be a LONG day and a chance a pro license. there is no set number of licenses to give out, we might give out 0, 1, or 4,932. things to expect to have to do to get a license... -3rd gear bank with a mid to high line (bottom will designated off track- you'll know where) -be close to clips -must maintain drift whole course (spin or straighten will not allow you a license) We plan on setting up the course at start of the day and giving you all day to practice it. Aiming for 10 runs a person before you qualify. We want to give everyone as best a shot as possible. Qualifying for a license will be 2 or 3 judged runs (we will know the day of) and the exact requirements or score you must get will be decided before then as well. THE ONLY RUNS THAT REALLY MATTER ARE QUALIFYING. When we enter qualifying portion of the event, it doesn't matter if you d1 style killed the course on every practice run, if you can't do it during qualifying then sorry. same goes for if the person doesn't get the course all day and throws down a good one during qualifying. If they meet requirements and its on the qualifying run, then they get a license." - Judge Jason "Box Mod" Jiovani

Ok, Im trying to work out a hotel discount for everyone, I know driving long distances sucks, and we all driver better on sleep :-) Ive been in contact with the hotel a couple times now, the standard rate for the dates I gave them is $41.99 a night. If I can give the manager a number of people who will be staying, or number of rooms needed, then she can give me an accurate discouunt. So if you will need a room, or want a room, please send an email to Chris@desotodrift.com and let me know, and what nights you will be staying, I told the manager we are looking at the night of the 15th and possibly the night of the 16th. so please let me know asap.

if you're lucky you get 10-12 runs of practice ;).

i think natl's and pittsburgh were the only events that i got more than like 5 or 6 practice runs in (and yes, some of the time it was my own fault for having a broken car, but they still don't exactly load you up with practice time).

aww... come on andy, you know you wanna come judge....lol

Ya, drift fury was supposed to do this event, but too much conflicting issues and the decided they didn't want to do the Nopi licensing so we got in contact with nopi and here we have it.

We aren't doing NOPI licensing next season. Nashville was our last licensing event. It's not that we "didn't want to do the licensing", it's just that we had a lot going on with SEMA and Laughlin...too much to negotiate contracts and prepare for this event. Jen is a real nice lady and has been taking care of things down there along with Jason Giovanni and a few others. It should be a great time!!! I wish I could make it, but my car is being torn down for next year.

We have some other plans lining up for Drift Fury next year.
