yup, here's what goes on in a 507 style SR20 swap...

FOERST step was to take out a little trash


then clean out the garge


stare at the new motor


put on some new goodies (greddy oil filter relocation kit)


take off the pretty valve cover


put it on the new motor


throw a tractor turbo on for good measure


uh...i'm not sure what's going on here


let everyone know what you've got


blingin' new intake plenum


painting the intercooler pipes


stripping down the old motor


powered by rox


sr party!!


almost done


pretty much done (only things that have changed are a few more zipties and a shorter oil filter that's blue)


and that's about it.
also, we i did take it out for it's FOERST voyage last night and she did pretty good. blew one intercooler pipe off but other than that it sounded and felt pretty damn smooth so far. i stayed pretty calm with the throttle and hitting boost but it still feels like it's gonna be a really strong motor. the only other bad thing is 1 of my injectors popped out of the fuel rail but a bit of pushing and a zip tie fixed that this morning.
now, i just have to put my interior back together and get it tuned and i'll be back for good!

one of my friends is gonna buy it, and i'm pretty sure the car came with a JWT tuned ECU. i also have a s-afc2 though.

oh, and the garage used to be clean . i tried to straighten it up a little yesterday but the oil spill kinda screwed things up.

haha...507 only gets more and more cluttered. especially with the oil slick in the middle. good thing Skyy isn't an Otter or a Seal.

That swap looks sweet. I Too love the oil filter relocation. Pretty nifty. I love the garage! I wish I had a place like that to do work on my car. All I have is a parking spot and some pavement in front of my shitty apartment building. Heh.
