Hey just curious but why is your site up already? Are you doing a soft launch? I was going to create a profile but got this error up loading the page:

If it's not ready to go live, maybe you should put a coming soon page so people don't just think it is teh borken. If you want this forum (and others I'm sure) to test it then maybe create a separate directory. (like slidenation/beta)

If you want this to be successful, which I think it could be then I might suggest a launch party of sorts. Even if it's just having a bunch of people over after an event where you buy the beer. You could get people talking that way, then of course you just get a big ass banner and fly it at every event you attend. Keep in mind that putting 'slidenation.com' on the banner is important because even if someone doesn't have a clue what the fuck it is, if they see it in the background of a photograph they are likely to check it out.

You've probably thought of all these things but I'm just flying ideas in case you haven't. I'll keep thinking about the profile page.

Yeah. I'm not really doing a soft launch...I just had that up so a few people could look at it. I should probably take that down, huh?

I was looking more for ideas on what kind of features to incorporate. I like your marketing ideas though. My friend Brad T. and I are planning on starting a little race team that will be sponsored mainly by slidenation, so that should hopefully get us SOME attention, but the banner thing's a nice touch.

Me and Collin talked and decided to Have a launch party at one of the ATL events. We will have our cars there as well as a large banner to let people know where we are. I have a few other ideas as well for corporate exposure.

buy an ad in S3 for corporate exposure, i'll hook up something cheap. we're printing like 14k copies a month and are in lost of barnes and nobles/books a million now, so it's good exposure.
