• WTF?!

Okay, I've NEVER heard of this being a common thing or anything like that. Has anyone even heard of it happening on an S-chassis?

Okay, apparently, something grounded out inside the turn signal switch (under the cover for the steering column, RIGHT behind the steering wheel) and it completely burned out the inside of that box, including melting the base of the turn signal stick to the point it's not connected anymore. I'm gonna have to get hella parts at the junk yard tomorrow, assuming the junk yard even HAS these parts...

Any idea what caused this?

holy shit, sounds like your wiring issues are worse then mine were. i've never heard of that, buuuuuut i've got all the parts you'd need to fix it on my parts car...where are you located though? might be able to help you out.

Do you guys know if those parts were interchangeable between S13s and S14s?

Completely unrelated:

Is there an easy way to put aftermarket seats in an S14 and RETAIN the stock seatbelts? I just found out that the buckle is actually attached to the seat...

just get a buckle from another nissan or maybe the back seat. struka would know.

i have my factory seatbelts installed with my buddy club bucket seat. i think i just moved all the stuff over to the new seat and it worked fine. it's been 3 or 4 years though, so i kinda forget.

I just got the mounts from Megan Racing this morning. Where they bolt to the trans tunnel, there's another tab that goes UP that you wouldn't easily be able to access while installing, so it seems that it's more likely to bolt the buckle to the mount...

Sound right to anyone?

my seat bracket has a threaded hole for the factory belt welded on.

i just used the backseat latch and bolted it to the tunnel where the seat attaches

Ahh, that's a good idea.

Is it uncommon for your seats to sit like 2" higher than stock on Megan Racing brackets?
