Now I'll have a reason to watch Fox.

If they don't get some d-bag presenter who knows nothing about the sport, and stick to a lot of in-car angles.

Aw who am I kidding, they're gonna fuck it up.

Also, I'm calling the FD/D1GP BATTLE FOR AMERICAN DRIFT SUPREMACY right now.

EDIT: Also, it seems like everywhere they placed the media the cars will be facing away from them, requiring a big-ass lens.

Do you find it a bit ironic that the best grassroots program is basically training people to compete in another series? Or is it just me?

I see it like this: Formula D is the biggest and most known drifting organization definitely in America, maybe worldwide save Japan, so it makes sense that if anyone wants to get in professional drifting, they're going to shoot for FD.

However, if this press release is to be believed, if you're a grassroots drifter who wants to start on a path to major sponsorship, you're going to be in D1 Underground, run by FD's competitor.

Just seems a bit ironic, is all.

The difference between expectation and result? I would expect if you started drifting in one series' grassroots program you would stay in that series instead of jumping ship.

EDIT: Also, the word is IRONY.
