engines are destroyed, cars are crushed and melted down. they are not allowed to recycle anything off of the cars, so no one can have used parts for their vehicles that are on the road. just a plot to get older cars off the road. fucking waste.

oh btw a dealer in Mayretta is owed $1m by the government, he has been doing the clunkers for cash on faith.

it's all a scam if you aren't in the market to buy a new car, you'll pay tax on the vehicle when you purchase, you'll pay higher taxes each year versus an older car, and 4 out or 5 cars are foreign cars so the US auto makers aren't getting anything out of this crap. fuck BIG government and their scam programs. fuck Obama, Biden and Pelosi.

I'll agree that the program sucks (badly) & is currently ripping the participating dealers off, but...

- No one is forcing people to participate in this program to buy new cars, subsiquentlly "raising their taxes".
- No one is forcing the dealers to participate in a program with ZERO track record of paying. Fool me once... At some point the dealers should learn their lesson and walk away from a bad deal.
- The VAST majority of "foreign" cars in this country are designed, produced, and sold in this country. By AMERICAN employees.
- Why must every fucking thing be used as an oportunity to blame the current administration? I'm just as unpleased with them as you are, I just know when to point out their faults, & when it just comes off as bitching to bitch.

Maybe I'm just in a pissy mood today. I've been picking fights with everyone.

You know I love you Gregorz.

Have you seen a raise in your taxes yet? I haven't. Do you really think this money would have gone back to us if they hadn't started this program? Why is everyone just now realizing that the government is corrupt and missuses our money? They've been doing it for generations.

It's ridiculous. They could recoup more than they're giving people by parting the cars out.

I feel so bad for those cars...

Drain their oil and will their engines with sodium silica (liquid glass). How would you feel if I drained your blood and filled your veins with liquid glass?

nobody said we're just realizing the government is corrupt, we are complaining about a single instance of outright stupidity. i don't see what you're arguing here, bud =p

you should be more worried if we weren't talking about it.

I agree Wes, foreign cars built by American workers, no one is forcing anyone to buy or participate, this is another of O's scam programs.

Ford is the big winner here, the most sold car through this program is the Focus.

But the most turned in car is the 99ish explorer.
