Really? Is a 450D not that much better than a D40? This would be a starter cam so I wouldn't need full-frame or 1080p video or other shit like that, just something with good enough low-light performance to take decent pics at Turner/Gresham at night.FooSchnickens wrote:Save your pennies and get something better than a D40 or 400/450D.Mischif wrote:Lulz, I was just wondering if I should pony up big bucks for the camera I want or just start out with a D40 like everyone else.collink wrote:If I didn't know better, I'd swear he was part Japanese...
I'm a little disappointed with some of my shots to be honest. The ones of the tandem will be a little rough...D40s don't have great low-light performance...
I think I wanna look into moving to a Canon...
I'm working on processing right now.
At the very least you should be looking at a D90, D200/300, or a 5/40D.

I'm gonna agree with the Dr. here.. Dennis' car was outmatched on this course. Forrest had more angle, higher on the bank, and speed.DJones wrote:I do not agree.collink wrote:Respeck to Forrest, but I really think that had Dennis completed that run, he'd have deserved a OMT.

...from what I remember, Forrest had a slight advantage after his lead run.

Well really, I need faster glass. I was shooting my Nikor 55-200 f4-5.6. Most of those shots were at or close to full zoom, so around f4.7-5.6 I think.Mischif wrote:Really? One of my main motivations for wanting to go Canon, is that a LOT more of the people at events shooting shoot Canon than Nikon, so I have a lot more people I can bug to borrow glass and strobes and whatnot.

Sorry, by people I meant like Panda, Coders, and Alex. Not that I'm assuming they'd let me borrow gear.
