Use your money wisely.. buy the big ticket stuff that makes a big difference in the way the car performs/looks/drifts FOERST.

Spending your money on little chinsies like interior bits/emblems/crystal clear headlights is a waste of money if your performance/exterior/pants isn't up to par.

You just look like a poser.

Don't be a poser. Get real.

I'll elaborate...
it's all about the meat...
1. Clean chassis
2. powerplant
3. great suspension
4. wheels
5. raceseat
6. kit/paint
7. cage for tandem

everything else is just gravy..

a meal still tastes like shit if you're using rotten meat drowned in gravy..

example: 240atl cars.

BTW: items 4-7 can be interchanged easily.

Just saying I'm not gonna do this the way I did the 240.

At the moment I'm focusing on getting out on my own and a better paying job. Then find a super clean FC chassis (no settling this time). Buy the suspension, motor, diff, maybe cage, performance stuff. Get the car doing what I want it to then do looks. Basically being a bit more serious and smart this go round. I want to compete in some way shape or form soon.

I'm also still debating on motor.

Rotary sounds amazing and is just cool.

LSx has lots of power and is super reliable... and sounds pretty cool itself.

LSx seems to be the best option in all honesty.

at this point now that I have new information I feel the need to pose this one on the engine side of the question: have you considered the new Hemi? just as wide as the LSx, weighs about 10-30 pounds more, the power potential is better, and your transmission choices are just as good, if not better because it's backwards-compatible with the older 4-speeds that Mopar made (and are just as durable as any of the 5-speeds out on the market)

the cost is about the same too. Maybe a few hundred more actually.

we already have an fc thread. or two.

i think you have 2 choices on a shell:
buy a completely unmodified car and go from there(hard and expensive) or buy a shell and gut the crap out of it and do you own wiring(hard and expensive).

i think it'll be super hard to find a turbo II and if you're pretty set on getting a lsx then it would be pointless.
i think you want to look for a GTU or a GTUs because they have the good brakes. austin would know for sure.
you def want a turbo II diff.
you don't want abs but i think that was an option so you don't need worry about those.

crate engines might cost the same. i doubt used motors cost the same.
