there is more to that. eugene can tell the story since i am pretty sure he gave it...just like BB. but all i remember about the chicken is....basically me, eugene, martymartymarty.net, erik, ray, phaire, and others (i cant remember) were in mexico on a trip for a drift thing (so they told me). and.... fuck, i dont even remember. basically it dealt with lots of alcohol, strippers, tats, cars, and other stupid shit.

the moral of the story is, don't drink anything eugene gives you.
Re: WTR (Want to rent): Garage/Shop space in ATL.
The Chicken got it's name at a DG event in the NE where it was hot lapping, the turbo melted the brake reservoir and when Erik hit the brakes.. it spilled/shot fluid over the exhaust manifold. The car caught on fire and burned the majority of the engine harness along with most of the components on the driver rear side of the engine compartment.
It also shot flames from the exhaust on the Enthalpy tune ECU on long trips... I'd cruise for about 30 minutes or so and then go WOT.. and massive flames would shoot out of the exhaust.
BB aka Boingy-Boingy got it's name the day I bought the car.. and was driving it home.
The stock suspension was so blown in the rear that turning onto the on-ramp from Forest Park to I-75 north.. I hit a bump and the car started hopping in the rear it nearly spun out. Also the leak in the trunk and hatch had deposited about 15 gallons of water in the rear of the car which promptly leaked out of all the seams and slung water all over the bald rear tires didn't help either.
BB was a stock DOHC LE with a blown automatic transmission that only had 2nd and reverse. Doing 55 on the highway.. the car was nearly tached out.... the interior was destroyed and smelled of mildew and mold. The car had a red hood/fender and destroyed stock from bumper with a ghetto welded bent red core support in it.
The chicken's chassis is pretty much thrashed.. the front frame rails are extremely soft and bent from years of track days/autox/drifting and the core support welds have started to break loose from the unibody. Additionally the lower subframe and TC rod locations got ripped out when Erik when off course in Ocala and hit a storm grate... which also bent both front control arms, tore off the front sway bar, and caused the car to sit 2" higher in the front.
Dennis and I fixed the majority of the damage by slotting the frame rails and welding in some inserts to rethread the holes... however the chassis itself is really soft and beat up.
All in all.. I don't know how many hours Dennis and I have put into working on the chicken since we started driving her in early 2004. I do know that I have driven more miles in the Chicken in it's competition and now current form than Erik has.

Oh... this one time on this one long trip... Dennis and I were convoying (Me/Chicken, Dennis/Red S14) and we saw a nice stretch of road and opened them up... I ran high-boost and hit 6900+ RPM on the tach in 5th gear with 18s on it. I don't know how fast we were going.. but I dropped Dennis and almost hit an Airstream trailer because it came up on us so fast. Then the jug of gas I had in the back blew open and drenched the rear of the car and my travel bag filled with clothes in gasoline.
Re: WTR (Want to rent): Garage/Shop space in ATL.
Just calculated the speed I was going.. right around 170 mph.
The chicken's cage had really bad welds in it... so whenever I decided to hoon around in the car.. I always undid my seatbelt because I would rather be thrown out of the car than impaled by the cage.
If anyone else did that while driving the Chicken.. it's because they learned it from me.
