i cant give details yet. but i can say there is a good chance i wont be in my GC for awhile.......thought i had a really bad wheel bearing, no that would have been too easy......nope my transmission decides it now must sing in super high pitched tones while i tool down the highway for all to here. seems either a bearing is loose, shot, or mashed or the main shaft (????) is about to go. either which way i am now in need of a new tranny. will probably either get a used RS/Forrester tranny for the direct replacement.....or get a used RS tranny and have that shit built with straight cut 1st and 2nd then helical 3/4......as a sychromesh (stock specs) or dogset (rally whine) both are mad $$$$ tho. dogset would allow me to brutalize my shifter with no remorse, but daily driving would become a "whine" during traffic. synchromesh is stock style and works fine for traffic and some good twisties or highway jaunts, but when it comes to 1st and 2nd, even after being cryo-treatment, i cant slam it into gear without hesitation. the other option i just found at &#%$^*&#%$^* a Ver6 STi Type RA fully built complete tranny. this is the same one said company uses for their rally cars. 4.44 final gear=neck snap, but....on highway in 5th over 3500revs=exhaust tone deafness.

so in short. sorry no details yet.....well i can say its..........no i cant say anything yet.
