connect your strut towers/framerails/tension rod bracket mounting points/ radiator support better, and square everything back up with non home-depot thinwall 1'' square tubing.
i'm gonna use some undetermined size c channel into round stuff, i'll post pics in a couple weeks once i get started, but make sure everything is squared/triangulated.
look at where the load would go, and make that strong.
so 1 inch dom .120 wall tubing is not strong. like i said before the rad mount is a removable unit is not meant to bare any load.
overkill never hurts as long as its not too extreme. When nissan designed the car 15+ years ago they didnt think that you were going to be using it as a race car after 15 years of aging keep that in mind.
add some up top to square things off. the front edges on the top are going to walk around, which is just going to bend everything to hell. the red is a load that goes somewhere, thats okay, the yellow is a force that has nowhere to go, the blue is how it could flex (exaggerated obiously) and the purple is where the play will also extend to and the odd force that will get put on the metal that was never designed to have forces transmitted that way thru it.
just square everything up, does the pic help? this isn't anything good to 'splain thru teh intarwebs but do you see what we're saying a little bit?
lol that is confusing I dont really know any way of explaining it other than making everything connect and build in triangles they are the strongest shape.
