Slide To Side Homicide Tour: Sonoma

Post by andysapp »

The cross country mayhem unleashment is under way!!!!

We ended up hitting the road some time around 5 pm today after a stop in L5P for sunglasses and a plastic George Bush mask. :D

We've been steadily trucking at a not-so-super-fast pace... Taking is easy watching (well... I'm just listening to) Team America & other assorted DVD's, lol.

We're about to cross the border into Louisiana! I've got my Slidekick armed, so I'll post up a li'l later with an update!

Holy shxxxt, we've gone like... 1/10th the distance, lol.

Lata, ya'll!!!

Thanks guys! So far the trip has indeed been safe. What should take a 13 hour drive to Dallas has successfully taken us 24. We stopped and slept twice in the Rover... Once for 3 hours... And again early this morning for another 4-5. That atop stops for gas and food I guess account for the remainder of the 24 hourzzz.

We're crashing for the night here in Arlington... So we can tackle Dallas to Vegas tomorrow with a full nights rest.

Driving through Mississippi and Louisiana especially sucked. It took us 60 miles to find an exit with a gas station that has air for the tyres, lol. Then they "couldn't spare the quarters" for change to get air. Everywhere we stopped we get staired at like aliens. IT'S FUN!!!

Anyway... I'm going to crash the eff oot now and get some sleep so the anarchy can continue tomorrow with more alertness.
:D

I'll holla at ya'll laterrr!!!

Dude, LA and MS are wastelands up there. Only the coasts are okay.

You are driving cross country without an air pump? Brave man.

Tell Western Texas that it's long and boring.

What UPPPP???
We made it to Sonoma... It was insane to say the least. I drove for 25 hours straight from Dallas to Vegas... and another 14 last night to make it to the hotel with 4 hours to spare. My Slidekick brike in Vegas... and I still can't believe that I just pulled the e46 across the continent to get here.

Wild... just plain wild.

I'm sitting on track right now at Infineon. We have been practicing for the past two hours... Giving me three runs to test and tune for qualifying. Not a lot.

I'm struggling hardcore... The motor is acting up, and I don't have enough power. The car is understeering bad... But the tyres aren't rolling the edges... So I dunno what's up.

There are a ton of drivers here... And they are all really really good. Hampton has the Camaro out sporting full Falken paint... And there's even an 80's Firebird out here. That gorgeous white Drift Unit s14 hit the wall as the second car out. It was crazy!

Aye aye... Five minutes 'til qualifying... So I'm gonna scoot and look over the car. I'll keep you guys update in a li' bit!!! I sure do wish ya'l were here.

Time to rawk and rowlll!!!
