Thoughts on F&F

Post by Dr. Marlow »

i liked it
the variety of cars were cool, my favorites were the 2 trucks at the beginning
story was ok
cheesy stuff: naws makes fire out tailpipe, screeching tire noise on dirt, no drivetrain and the ripped apart door panel when the STi flips, drifting to try to drive fast, hitting nos or downshifting to make a wheelie, calling a s15 a 240sx with illegal mods
overall the technical stuff about cars was better than the other F&F
worst part: not seeing who won the rs200 v AE86 drag race from my dreams

Pretty similar thoughts Mr. Marlow.
I also like some of the drifting scenes in town during the FOERST race when paul walker was duking it out with V.D. Looked like actual drifting, not cgi with somebody turnin the wheel like 10 degrees and shit.

I liked this one a lot. I know the timeline on this one was supposed to be right after the 1st one... and this totally should have been the sequel - not the 4th installment.

Will and I both noticed spots in the movie that were out of focus... which is weird for a blockbuster movie (I totally just typed blackbuster). I definitely lol'd at the 240 with illegal mods. LOL @ FBI guy getting owned. The sex scene was totally irrelevant. I thought the tunnel redux was kinda dumb. Other than that I was really pleased with the movie. I definitely enjoyed it.

Good point, it very well may have a rotary under the hood.

maybe thats what it was. i didn't really know how to feel about this movie after seeing it. it was ok, but not really anything memorable about it. not even any good quotes.

2 Fast 2 Furious was the worst one... this one was nowhere near that bad.
