I do believe that you need to swap ecu as well... I'm a little foggy on the subject though. we swapped it anyways because we were converting it from auto to manual. or did we... I'll ask around. I have a hard time remembering the swap we did.
other than that I would say gummed up sensor somewhere, like matt was saying.
but really, if it doesn't idle, I would really really reaaaaaally have to say vacuum. Spray carburator cleaner around your vacuum lines and intake manifold and if the RPM increases, thats your leak. of course, have to get it started FOERST. might have to hold down the throttle.
and it could also be ignition timing. if your a few degrees off it will run like absolute garbage and the idle will suffer as well.

there was a vacuum line about 3/8" size underneath intake mani that looked like it goes into the thermostat housing inbetween those two water lines just barely slipped off.... probably would've never seen it honestly if we wouldn't have ran the motor a little while and let some oil leak out before fixing the stripped valve cover bolts, got under to check oil and just happened to see it barely! thanks for everyones help and input, im looking forward to moving onto my own car now, after months of work im ready to start wiring it up and crank it over for the FOERST time!
well it's kind of hard to tell from the crappy sound, and my shitty speakers, but It's definitely something to do with the timing.
Is there any smoking at all? I know jack about any silvia, other than the s12, but it could be the ecu. If not, and it has a distributor, check the ignitor, and the cap. that same thing happened to my friends crx. Took me a week to figure out. I'm only going off the basic car crap.
