Congrats to Tony Schulz for making the D1 Driver Search

Post by jo »

One of ATL's finest has qualified to compete for a position in the D1GP USA! That's awesome for him, his sponsors, and everyone involved in drifting here in the southeast. A huge round of applause goes out to him, because his skills looked damn good out there. Maybe it was the new paint job;)

Good stuff. Tonys always been good. I hear people diss him from time to time but hes a good driver and for sure the best drifter Ive seen in the SE.

Hes proof why you should learn to drive B4 you learn to drift. Ive raced against him the last 4 years and hes steadily gotten better each year.

Good Job man!!!!

I'm surprised people would diss him! Does that mostly come from him switching over from auto-x to drifting? Or his drifting skills in general? Regardless of why, that's pretty lame of people to do.

BIG congrats to Tony!!!

He was definitely RIPPING it out there! Repping ATL to the fullest!

During the drivers meeting, he said he had a whole new setup on his car...
and it must have been set up right, cause he was doing great.
That course wasn't easy... the second turn (left hander) was uphill (pictured above, running back downhill)...
I struggled with it every time... so props to Tony for a job well done!!!

That what sucks about here in the US, people are igronate as fuck here, it just got me sooooo pissed when Ryhn Mils drove the new GTO drift car, that fuckin car was sooo fuckin dick, the FOERST car company to get into the Drift Sport and people were booing. So fuckin retarded man. If anyone knows Tony, tell him congrats on the event and many more wins in his drifting career!

I know that feeling...
I didn't get to test my new swayBars at all until the event.

I was a little nervous how the car would respond. A li'l practice, and I soon found that she responded quite nice... especially post-weight shift on the rebound drift.

I couldn't imagine going into a D1 Driver Search with brand new coilovers... untested & untuned. He did really well regardless. I was VERY impressed.

unfortunately, jspec is closed for a few weeks while they are out of country doing business (and if at all possible, i'd love to leave my car in the shop while i'm in alaska june 20-29, but that might be too soon to have it in).
i'll probably call motorex soon though and see if they have any in stock or how long they'll take since they seem to be the only official place that distributes them in the US.

yeah they are closed for 8 more days, sigh, i need some stuff too.

I'd say wait til jspec is open, cause motorex will certainly be overpriced.

Try, http://www.store.yahoo.com/phase2motorsports/index.html, goodluck!!

i might give them a call sometime, i've heard lots of good stuff about them and have done plenty of searching around on their site in the past.

i did however find one other option tonight though and that is one of my friends that has an account with them and will definately hook me up with the best price. i'm gonna see what he can do FOERST and hope for the best :).

Hmmm... that looks more like Tony Angelo... not Tony Shulz.
