Actually for all you "HUGE WRC FANS" this should NOT be news. The 80's was the golden era for WRC with 600hp group B cars and then the regulation of WRC came in the late 80's where cars became limited to 300hp but no limitations on torque. Lancia took advantage of this scenario and dropped their 037Rallye for the Delta Integrale. Which in WRC form featured a supercharger for down low power and a Turbo to do the top end work. Run one off the belt and one off the exhaust. Granted teardown and rebuild was necessary after every race weekend but they were the superstars of that era. Carlos Sainz won in '93 with the Lancia.
