Man.. that thing is just screaming for a 1992 fuel injected 5.0 in there with a 5 spd.

Haha.. F-A-carb'ed motor.

actually, what you're suggesting is what I'm doing, just with the 318/360 (and my 4-speed) instead.

I found a 5.0 ECU in one of the bins at work (somebody was going to recycle it), found out I can use a 5.0's Foxbody engine harness, lengthen and/or shorten it in a couple places, use a intake with injector bungs already in it. (and all of the sensors and stuff) Doing something cheaply for once.

so...yeah, I'd love to do EFI after I get the parts for it.

I REALLY wanna try to get it done by FD Atlanta weekend...so we'll see.

if there's a practice event the day after it like there has been for the past however many years, I'd like for that to be my FOERST event that's all. So I can come hang up there with ya'll.

honestly.. i'd just look for a complete fox body drivetrain (cheap and will run, as opposed to another questionable rx-7 motor)and drop it in.. then do suspension asap.

it's the cheapest and easiest way.

I know it's a 1G RX-7.. but read this..

http://grannys.tripod.com/1stgenrx7fordv8.html

they also make a buncha stuff for RX-7 swaps in general.

yeah, I've been looking on there as long as I've been considering FC's.

I've been a member of the NoRotors.com since the v8rx7.com forums went off the air.

it's not the same for an fc. the tall intake manifold and the distributor make it hard to get the hood to fit. you either have to cut a hole in the hood(free and easy) or buy a different style intake manifold and a short dizzy. you still need to find a turbo II rear end.

Seriously, Mahone. Make this thing work.. and not a ended thread like the Dodge. Haha.

Build what is within your means and ability for now. Just so you can drift.. otherwise it will be another 4-5 years.

You should have bought a cheap S13. Haha. :headbang:

Joe, don't go there. You've been through how many engines because you went and rushed things because they were such a great deal? In my opinion, you have no room to talk.
