morning mountain run, this sunday

Post by icantdrift »

basically the plan is to meet fairly early near the dawsonville outlet mall and head up from there. either myself or my buddy marshall will be leading the group, although we may just plan a route and split into 2 groups if there are enough people. it'll be a fun pace, but nobody wants a ticket so it will be up to you how fast/slow you go, nobody will give you hell for not wanting to send your car off a cliff and driving a reasonable speed  .

after the run we will head south again and hit the big SELOC meet at dave and buster's in gwinnett.

anyone that wants to come with shoot a PM and i'll let you know the meeting spot, or for those of you with my number just call if you like.

chicken strips only count if you're a total squid... if you're in leathers then they are N/A ;). i guess that means i'll be 2 wheelin up there too :)

I dunno about randy and aaron but I don't wanna ride my bike with a bunch of 4 wheeled hooligans that are going to drift into me around a bend.
I like the plastic on my bike.
How bout the bike guys do a separate run but we can meet them at the outlet on sunday?

well that's my intention, to split off and do our own thing and then maybe meet up later with the cars. these aren't drifter wannabes btw, most of the car people going are too timid to go fast or just plain slow.

so weather looks good, you in for sure?

i'm most definately down, but i need to be back in ATL by 1pm at the latest cause my parents are coming in to visit, so i just wanted to know about how long the ride is gonna be. you don't have to make it shorter on account of me, i can split early if i need to (just as long as someone can tell me how to get back :) )

ahh, i can't wait to go ride up in the hills again. sunday can't get here any slower and its just gonna make my full day of work tomorrow worse

the ride will take as long as you need it to, and you can split at any time. i was planning on being back this way around 2-3 to go to the seloc meet afterward. do you want to meet earlier, more like 9 maybe so we can get some more riding in? you'll have to leave up there at 12 to be back in atl by 1.

we'll go ahead and meet at toosy's, which is at the end of 400 on the right. you'll see a ton of bikes down there. we'll shoot for 9:30am meeting there at the latest.

hooman, where are you man? you in?

yeah, 9 sounds good. about how many miles up 400 is it and what exit if you know? i need to know what time to wake up  oh and i was thinking of calling up hooman to see if he wanted to meet up earlier in dwood, or anyone else since i'm pretty much at the bottom of 400 (lavista/cheshirebridge area) and everyone seems to live north of me. the highway is usually less boring and you can be easier seen when there is a small group.

it is well beyond where exits end and traffic lights begin. from cumming it's about 30 minutes north to toosy's. i will wait if you're running late.

cell number is 678-548-4669 in case you need to call.

Hey, thanks for showing me around up there, and for waiting up for me. maybe when i get my sealegs back you won't have to wait for so long for me to catch back up :). you're one hell of a rider man! i think i did alright for my FOERST time out in a year, on a new bike, on new tires. its hard for me to trust the tires when the last time i did they went out from under me. but yeah, THANKS!!!

we got lucky that there weren't any roadblocks, apparently all the paperwork i had on me was my license and my dealer tag  , that would have been bad.

oh and fuck them multistradas, and baggy leathers are what is hawt in the streets

yeah, it's great they bought 1000cc overpriced wannabe dualsports only to go use 2 lanes going uphill on 129  . stupid ass ducati people!

i had fun though, no worries on stopping and waiting, it's the best way to do it. other than the cars in my lane on a few occasions and the truck that almost killed me and the vette guy it was a great day for a ride. next time we'll get hooman's lame ass up there and maybe hit some other roads that i was trying for.
