Idiot question time.

Why does there appear to be so much space between the compressor side and turbine side of the turbo? From the pictures, it looks (to me at least) like there's more space between the two "halves" than I've typically seen. Is this for a specific reason, on that particular turbo, or am I just imagining things?

i think its just because we are mostly used to garrett turbos?! this borgwarner has afaik roller bearings and they are famous to be strong. maybe its because of the longer / bigger middle-piece?!
