I've been procastinating my voyage back east a bit... chillin' here in L.A. I'm about to embark back to ATL here in a few minutes. The main event was dick! I wish you all could have been there to see it. Cars crashing, bumping, flipping, and catching on fire. It was mayhem for sure.
It's hard to beleive the season is really over. What a ride it's been.
I'll post some more up tonight when I stop... for now - I need to hit the road before I stay here another week.
man can u believe how people are going nuts over gas i went to the pump today i had to cut this woman off for a spot in line cause she was trying to take my spot
I am stranded at the Mississippi/abalambala state line. Why, you might ask? There is no gawt damned gasoline ANYWHERE.
I feel like I just drove through Russia. Power outages for 45 miles at a time... Strewn debris littering the shoulders of the interstate... Cars abandoned left and right... Did I mention there was NO gasoline anywhere? There are cars roaming in groups looking for fuel. It's creepy. There are people literally camped out at gas stations waiting for petrol. I have been stopping at every exit since the half-tank mark trying to find fuel.
I called abalambala State Police for assistance. I told them that I just crossed the state line, and I'm out of gas... They said "so are the gas stations". That's just awesome.
I have an eighth of a tank left in the truck... Which is probably good for another 15 miles or so. I have 2 gallons of race gas... Which will probably get me another 15-20... So I've got about 40-45 miles to find the winning gas station. In any normal context... That would be an easy task. Considering I have been searching for over 80 miles already... I don't feel like my chances are too great.
I am going to sleep here in the truck for now... It is my only hope that I may have better luck finding gas in the morning.
1971.8 miles from Los Angeles for this shit.
Radical.
andysapp wrote:Well... I just used those last two gallons of fuel trying to find some fabled gas station closeby that "had" fuel. Such a place did not exist.
SO... Let me reword my previous post:
"I am out of gas. I have no way to get any. I am stranded in my truck in abalambala."
if you're still stranded tonight when i get off work i'll gladly load up the truck with gas cans and head your way... sucks to be stuck
