what school do you go to? i went to bob jones and they didnt' even have a photo program. we had an enlarger and some trays. my teacher was super cool so i basically got to make up my own class. i eventually got some other kids into it and we had a little photo program thanks to yours truly.

i'll be back up there during winter break, so maybe i can check out some of your work and we can have a big photonerdfest conversation.

I go to Sparkman, which is of course, BJ's biggest rival to....anything really.

Our photo program is 3 years old. You wouldn't believe the level of progress though. We have a portable converted to a photolab, a studio constructed in our classroom, and equipment to do techniques I bet you and Cody may not even know about yet, and a few computers for digital/photoshop work.

If you went to Bob Jones, you grew up hella close to me. Less than 10 miles, no lie.

A photonerd photo-fest? YES!!! That sounds ace.

There is going to be a massive photo fleamarket at the VBC in a week or two. Heads up. You can get some quality equipment dirt cheap.

werd son, i knew some folk over at sparkman. i was never into the whole rivalry thing. yeah, the photo flea market thing is pretty rad, i've found some cool stuff there in the past. nikkor 50mm f/1.2 for like $50 more than i had made me sad. only thing that i don't like much about Huntsfail is that there is only like 1 decent photo store that isn't the douchery that wolf is (no offense to current of previous employees of wolf) which is southerland's over there by Huntsfail hospital. when i was shopping for my pentax they had one, but the lens was pretty fucked, and they knew this and we were talking about it and if i did buy it i would need to either send it off to get fixed OR not shoot it wide open  . they wouldn't come down in price, and mr southerland got all pissy and made some snide ass comment when i decided not to buy it and i haven't gone back since. then i put together the same outfit from KEH here in atl and got a camera and lens in a lot better condition for $100 more than they wanted, which made up for the fact i didn't have to send off the lens.

also i notice you use a lot of UK vernacular, where you from originally? it reminds me of this irish guy i used to ride with in Huntsfail, he let me ride his 04 r1 once....omg  , then he took his r1 and z4 to seattle :x

I've been to Southerlands a few times to get some Fuji Velvia cross processed. Other than that I've never bothered to go there. My photo instructor swears by that place. There is a new place around Madison I believe. The name escapes me at the moment.

I could care less about that rivarly biz, but we did just put a big sign on Bob Jones around Sunday at midnight that said something like "get on your knees BJ, Love Sparkman." Now thats funny, they had to call the fire department to get it off of the building.

I was born in Germany. I lived there, and in England for a bit when I was younger. Then I moved to the wasteland known as Huntsfail. Horrible.

I ride with TVSBC every once in a while. Most of their riders have an abundace of R1's and R6's. They can never keep up with me on twisty roads. The straights I get raped, but what fun is it to go fast in a straight line?

yeah, the TVSBC are pretty nice chaps, but the few times i've been riding with them, i don't know i just don't feel that comfortable. charlie (i think thats his name, 50somethign year old cop guy) is an awesome rider though. i always preferred riding with my buddies over them. plus something about riding with 7-15 sportbikes just seems like asking for it.

haha, get on your knees  nice. i was in the band there and our jerseys said BJHS, oh man, how many times i've been asked at competitions "hey, BJ, huuhuhuh, whats that stand for"

and yes, Huntsfail is pretty....well... at least you aren't that far from some nice roads, and only 3 hours from ATL. yup. enjoy the lack of traffic, that is one of the few things i miss. oh another nice short road is the 4 mile post extension over in jones valley. me and my friends would tear ass on that thing...until the police started to really crack down due to some other people doing stupid stuff like passing on dbl yellows and shoulders and what not. i remember on the SV i went around one bend doing 90ish and my toe scraped a little and i about shat myself

So when are you making it back to Htown?

One more thing, we should jointly set-up a SEDA drift event in the city.
