South Carolina roads for the lose!

Post by Rhoad Racing »

I hit this bad boy Saturday night while on my way into Columbia, SC.

The front of the car made it through ok, but the rear wasn't so lucky

The impact stripped the top bolt (the one on the piston rod) completely off along with all the components that hold the assembly together. This made for interesting trip back to Atlanta. Even the smallest bump in the road caused the rear of the car to step out which I, ironically, didn't care for. But other than it making a lot of noise it wasn't too bad.
I guess I have to put the old Koni Yellows on the rear again.

no I don't think so. I would have to double check to make sure.
The suspension on my car isn't stock...therefor the state has an excuse. They won't give me shit.

if there isn't a BUMP sign i'd look into it further. stock suspension or not, that's an unsafe condition they left that endangered your life and the lives of others.

Gawt damn man! That sux. Why does this always happen right before an event? You should look into compensation. That crap is wackness. Imagine if you were on a motorcycle. You would be dead.

those rubber bushed stock top plates aren't the strongest thing in the world, when he nailed the bump it looks like it pushed through from the bottom FOERST.

i know SC will fix any broken windshield due to the amount of 18wheelers on their highways. happened to me while i lived in SC. they replaced my front windshield no questions asked and totally free of charge.

i would definitley look into getting some type of compensation for that. where around SC was that canyon in the road?

ok...I'll start looking into it and I'll have Julie go down that road to see if there are any "bump" (canyon LOL) signs.
Anyone know who I need to contact?

The canyon road is in Columbia off of Pelion (#6).

have her take pictures if there isn't a sign near it.
