Nice few page spread on Drift Atlanta in SportsCar Mag

Post by jo »

This month's SCCA magazine has a nice couple of pages on DA including some awesome shots of the horseshoe with Alex and Hubinette battling it out. That shot is two pages wide and I've been able to pick out both Hooman and I in the crowd! Other pictures include the revolver hachis, blake working underneath the integra, and some more crowd shots. The article brings to light the mixing of road racing, car show, and drifting, and how well it flowed together.

The article talks a lot about drifting, and puts a very positive light on it. I think that's definitely a good thing for the SCCA. Maybe one day the SCCA will do drifting events! Well, I can hope...

There is one guy on the fence with his arm up. Behind him is a girl with dark hair, a white wifebeater, and an army skirt. I'm almost positive that's me, because that's what I was wearing that day. Can't tell for sure, but I'm assuming.... Right in the fold, where the scan didn't come out well you can see hooman. It's about half an inch from where the person who looks like me is standing.

Maybe it's us, and maybe it's not...but it does look like us so who knows:) It's a lot easier to see in the actual magazine and not that scan!

must scan larger picture! I thought you were closer to the left side, like around where the specclutch.com banner's are...I was wearing a yellow shirt but also moved around quite a bit trying to find the best angle for that turn.

Nah we were closer to that green awning thing! I have the magazine here on my desk and it's much easier to see... No scanner though, plus it would be hard to scan in the fold/crease area which is mostly where we were.
