What an awesome event!!! I had a blast. It was a really great day - even if I didn't sleep. I was totally falling asleep in my helmet while staged there for Top 8. (Mental note - while drinking an entire 18oz Rockstar in 10 seconds before running MAY wake you up temporarily... it WILL make you feel dick ;))

I was happier than words can express that my car was back together, and driveable. Making podium was awesome... but going through what I went through the last week to get that car done - and getting it done was my real finish. I could have qualified dead last and still been happy as can be.

Congrats to ALL the Top 8 finishers. That is a pretty huge deal - eliminating 60 drivers to 8... and being one of those 8 - so my hat goes off to all of you.

ERIN!! Dude... that shit was rad. I was sooo tired - and then they said "One more time", and I thought I was going to pass out right there. Those battles were awesome. I was pulling for you, killa. I ALWAYS want to see my friends do well... even if it means beating me, as odd as that may sound. That battle is not over!!! We will duke it out again, for real!!

Thanks to everyone who helped out yesterday... especially JEN (who prolly saved my life twice this weekend), Matt, Byron, and "Pits" Struka. Thanks to my Mom for helping out with the shirts, and bringing lunch! <3

HUGE HUGE HUUUUGE thanks to Batlground Engineering for helping me with my car, and Gran Turismo East for a midnight alignment on the car prior to the event. Without the two of them - I would have been warming the bench yesterday with a broken bimmer.

NEXT TIME... we make it a dM 1-2-3!!!

i was pulling harder for you, i wanted to see you triumphant over a champagne bottle  . that was great fun battling to the death, over and over and over again. that last run you put down was just plain solid so i figured it was do or die (or do-over  ). video will be up tonight.... after i find some decent music to add that's almost the right length.

next time we duke it out i think it should be somewhere inside, away from the sun

Damn, wish I could have made it. Congrats to everyone.

Andy, what was up with the car? I missed the story? Considering everyone said you got 2nd and you were tired, I don't wanna see what kinda mayhem goes down on a full nights sleep.

Congrats to all. Hopefully I'll be out there volunteering next time.

Hahaha... I got third! martymartymarty.net took second.

The rear end of my car was completely disassembled and on the floor at Batlground on Saturday at 2pm... I got the car back together around 10pm the night before the event. By the time I got the BMW aligned at GTE it was midnight. I took the car back over the Batlground, picked up the truck, went home, packed, and at 2:30am Jen took me over to get the BMW... by the time I got home with it and all ready to go... it was about 4:25 am. I would have had to wake up at 5am... so rather than sleep for 40 minutes... I stayed up.

I haven't been that tired in YEEEARS. BUT - I was stoked the car was together again, and I could drive her... so it was allllllll worth it.

Funny thing is my exhaust hanger broke to! Right after you asked for that stuff I looked at my exhaust and it was hangin' low! haha
