hey all,

i just wanted to chime in with my 2 cents about exhausts and other aftermarket parts. while it is true that you pay much more for brand name products i would also like to point out that fitment should be a big consideration. many cheaper products that we have had experience with have not fit quite right and other parts have to be modded (cut off, added on, changed) to make the product bolt up which compromises the overall reliability. im not saying that all the big names are always good and no names are bad, but personally i want my exhaust, intake etc. to bolt in and look as factory as possible. as long as you research the part you are getting and try to get some actual reviews from people that have purchased and installed the piece you should have no problems

yeah, thats one major thing about off-brand stuff, 90% of the stuff out there won't fit, majorly bodykits and such, look at GTP, their stuff sucks sooo much cause non of their stuff hits, not even their wings! lol.

but yeah researching is all but very helpfull into getting a product from a off brand company.

Oh yeah, about exit angles...

Oh yeah, about exit angles...

I think it was NASIOC where I saw a thread thread where someone was asking for opinions on their newly installed HKS exhaust. A lot of people chimed in that it was ugly, ricey and "why the hell would they design it to come out at an angle?" To anyone with a brain, it's pretty obvious that the angled design is to keep the bends shallower and the exhaust more free-flowing. That's not to say that other exhausts that exit parallel with the car won't be as effective but it's just a dynamic approach that shouldn't be flamed. I personally think that the angled exhaust is a nice blend of form and function.

Man this silly eBay help request has gotten to be pretty technical.

God I wish I had H-pipes.

i agree... i like the angled look it also helps with ground clearance issues, my spec had some of those issues... anyways, megan racing has some ok stuff but also a few horror stories. i like the blitz nur spec but since my intercooler is black i and going to try and look as sleeper as possible with a widebody S13. if thats even possible.
