How am I jet-lagged without a jet?

Post by andysapp »

13,000 miles, four plane tickets, one near-miss jailing, countless over-slept wake-up calls, one absolutely destroyed rental van, and an entire nation of slide-styled mayhem later...
I'm home.

Good lawd does it feel good to be back. I'm a tad faded to living on the road, and beyond exhausted from living in a van for over a month. The Slide America Tour went better than expected. Everyone was so receptive to what we were trying to do. I think drifting is a lot healthier in this country than people really think. Every city had their own style, and their own vibe. It was really really cool meeting so many people who are into this sport for the love. I feel really honored that I got to experience FOERST hand (and document) the nation's drift scene as a whole.

I've got more to catch up on than I can really wrap my head around... but I guess that's part of being back in Atlanta. :) I think we came home with about 100 hours of footage to be sorted through, and this was really only preliminary shooting. We plan on following up with some people here and there. Some people are flying us back out at later dates to follow-up with more shooting. We've still got a lot of ground to cover for Atlanta, cause you know Atlanta's reps it harder than any city in the states.

I dunno what's in the works for this weekend... but I miss the bloody hell out of you guys and would love to find some trouble to get into.

I never heard about any event in Pheonix when we were there. We were at Vivid Racing... nobody ever mentioned anything about an event - otherwise... we would have been there. What event went down?
