haha...I guess you can always continue being a patron of TOPHAT performance. I guess all that can be said is that I posted the issues I had with the motor and the install.
My Name is Nicholas Shoupe, I am a small shop owner. I have worked with several people who have had issues with how they do business. There are several people on here that wont raise their voice on here that know me and assisted me in fixing the problems that the motor/car had after visiting their shop. I could also rattle off how long it has taken top hat to build an engine that is sitting in their shop, how they ordered custom parts instead of ordering parts that are already in production. I am only on here to speak the truth. I am glad they will continue to have all of your business. I only posted to speak about what happened.
We disassembled the motor after it began to knock. That was 2 months afte the motor was installed. No expressed warranty, shotty work, run around two times prior...yeah it was decided that we would fix the 3k worth of parts and misfortune ourselves, the motor runs flawlessly now with out the assistance of Tophat performance.
We appreciate the extra work we got from having a car go thru your shop mike. Good Luck in the Future and best of luck to all who visit your shop. There is no point in arguing or attempting to prove the previously stated occurances. Me and about 10 people on this board and others who travel in the same circles know FOERST hand about this motor build.
Take Care
Nick

It would actually be libel if it's in writingdarkducati wrote:slan·der (slān'dər)

li·bel /ˈlaɪbəl/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[lahy-buhl] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation noun, verb, -beled, -bel·ing or (especially British) -belled, -bel·ling.
1. Law.
a. defamation by written or printed words, pictures, or in any form other than by spoken words or gestures.
b. the act or crime of publishing it.
c. a formal written declaration or statement, as one containing the allegations of a plaintiff or the grounds of a charge.
Either way, he has the right to express his experiences. Not everyone is perfect all of the time and there are always 3 sides to every story (trust me. I'm an expert
If Mike did intend to sue this gentleman for libel (of course after bringing up this printed thread), it would be Nick's burden of proof to prove the things he was saying were true. Then Mike would have to prove that his shop actuallly lost customers as a result of the "libel".
Just because you had a good experience doesn't mean someone else can't have a bad one or vice versa. I'll admit that not everything goes perfect everytime someone comes in here and it sucks. It's just the nature of the buiness and it happens.

It isnt slander if its the truth. And I can Get Written statements from those who witnessed the expressed information, if I am ever burdened with the experience of a legal situation.
I came on here to voice an experience with a company. Perfectly and legally entitled to such action.
There is one KEY thing everyone is missing in their slander chatter
"a malicious, FALSE, and defamatory statement or report"
If I had the inclination, I could Legally Post it on Every board they frequent and probably contact the BBB. However, I have left it to this board and this board alone. I am in no way attempting to discourage people from going to TOPHAT. Everyone is Entitled to do as they wish, within the grounds of legality.
