yet another reason to never call a dealer

Post by expo »

so i am looking for a sunroof latch for an S13. I was bored, so I called Nissan. FOERST off they didnt know what an S13 was, he then after a long pause told me what i need is a 350Z. He said dont get me wrong the 240 WAS a good car but nothing compared to the 350Z. I then said i am just looking for a latch. He said yeah you need a 350Z :?: :?: i had nothing to say to that.

yes..why think about the short term.. which is repairing a broken latch?

when the long term solution is to get a 350Z!

haha! I love car shopping, bc it's always awsome when you know more about the car then the person selling it to you...

like when I went to look at a used toyota celica gts, and he was trying to tell me that the FAKE carbon fiber hood, and interior was real. So I went along with it. Then I asked him to pop the hood, and he was trying to sell me that the aem intake was a turbo charger...and god knows what else. Lets just say at the end of the conversation, he felt like a total IDIOT, because I called him out on all of it, and asked him how they think they're getting $17, 000 for something with 50, 000 miles, and looks like it's been to the riser junk yard and back. Well, of course I didn't say it like that and was very nice about it. It just REAALLYYYY pisses me off when a guy tries to sell me CRAP, bc they don't think I'd know any better since I'm a girl, and a blonde at that too. damn idiot.

ps. i was super nice about it! but I was really mad at the same time. I'm sure y'all can relate.

you should have then asked him if he had a latch for a 350z. if he said yes and it fits take that, if he would have said no then tell him you cant buy the 350 cause if the sunroof latch broke your basically fucked
