guess this is goodbye atl.
dont know if anyone cares, but im back in texas, and i still have miata up there but i know i was really excited about coming back to atlanta for good but i dont think that that will work out anytime soon.
im really bummed about a lot of stuff in life and i guess making a thread doesnt solve any problems but i guess this is a more of a i had a lot of fun the short time i was there with no free time and it was really fun hanging out with everyone i got to hang out with and although i didnt get to spend a lot of time with you guys yall are all really cool and yall are really nice and im gonna miss you guys.
im gonna try to pick up the miata before new years and then i gotta get back here. i dont really have a lot going for me here but my family is here and i can go to school again i guess.
but it was really fun getting to know everyone a little better and hanging out, and thanks everyone for being really nice and friendly to me and lea anne when we came out.
im gonna try to get my car running again so hopefully ill see yall around. i've thought a lot about selling it the last couple days because im out of money and i kinda lost interest but hopefully ill get to come to atl and hang out eventually and see yall again.
hope everyon ehas a merry Christmas and a safe and happy holiday.

You're emo for good reason man. Here is my advice... find something to keep your mind off everything (working on cars does it for me EVERY time). Work on fixing your car, so you can get it up and running again. Once that happens, my shoulder will be healed and we can all go drifting with our middle fingers pointed at the world, and our feet through the firewall.
Trust me.
Trust me.

yo dude.... sucks to hear.. but it ain't the end of the world. trust me.. i'm semi-pro at it.
in fact.. sometimes it takes that something to happen before we are actually able to step back an re-analyze our lives.. and truly figure out what's next.
sounds like you're definitely bummed.. but during this time.. you should think about yourself and where/how you see yourself in the future (not sexually of course).
if you have that goal in mind.. it's a lot easier to get started... 100% easier to stay on course.
trust me man.. going back to school was one of the best things i've ever done.. it was hard.. and it took me 10 years to graduate from college (bc i took up shaolin martial arts
).. it's worth it.
oh yeah.. uhh everything is gonna be fine! fo' realz.

Hey man, I know we don't know each other that well because we only met that one time at NOPI Nats, but here's my take on things.
I moved back to FL (Pensacola) where I'm from in the summer of 2006 because I was tired of being broke and my Mom convinced me that I needed to be closer to family. So I did it and totally hated my decision after about 8 months of being bored and realizing that the cost of living was just as much there as it is here and that the average income was $10 an hour! So I started looking for work back here and got back on the DM Forum to get caught back up and now I'm back.
My point is, that the pastor (sp?) isn't always greener on the other side. I found that out real quick! You have friends here, theres plenty of work, you can take online classes at night/day, and you have a cool chick that loves you thats from here. Get on craigslist, AJC jobs.com and find a job. Any job. Just get the cash flow coming in. That will help you keep your mind off of other things.
Anyway, that is my perspective on the limited info I have on your situation. And since I'm probably the oldest guy on here I figured I'd share some of my limited worldly knowledge with ya. Whether you make the right or wrong decision to stay or go for good, its not the end of the world. I'm sure things will come around.

my last roomate was a huge drugee and i cant afford anything with a garage, which i have a place for my racecar here.
i also dont want anyone to think bad of lea anne she hurt me a lot but shes trying to do what she thinks is best for her. i dont want to come to atlanta because i want her to live her life and she thinks im psycho because of what her mom told her and an incident in high school involving my dad coming to my moms house, him losing control, scaring the shit out of me, my mom calling the cops, and when the cops arrive me and my dad are bloody, there is fire extinguisher everywhere and im about to hit him with a shovel. i got in a lot of trouble for that but shes afraid of me now because i told her about that and her mom says i threatened her and yelled at her and i dont want to hurt her or have her worry about going anywhere because of me. i guess thats the real reason. i hope and pray every day she will figure out who i am and quit listening to other people but im afraid to move back to atlanta because of everything. my familys here, i got a free place to stay, a job, a free place to store the car if i ever get it running again. im gonna start taking online classes again like i did when i drove the el camino so i can get out of school and get a real job.
i feel wierd posting this out in the open but i've learned a couple things in the last week, one of which is i do care too much about what people think and if you cant be real about who you are to people then you dont have much to gain from those people anyways i guess. everyone i've met on here is a cool good hearted person and i know that. i'm sure some people that hate shit talkers but talk shit 24-7 will relay this to the rest of the atl car community but i really just dont care.
all things considered too about lea anne anyone that knows her sees her or whatever just dont think anything bad of her. she has a good heart and she is ripping me to peices but she has a good heart shes just trying to figure out what she wants in life. shes had a lot of people treat her like shit and she tries her best to rise above it, and nobody including myself is perfect.

things tend to have a way of working themselves out in life. if texas is where your opportunity currently lies, then it would be silly not to be there. you still have friends here and opportunity could knock again for you in ATL in the future if you keep an eye out. if atlanta is where you want to be, do what you need to do to make that happen. it might take some time but it's not like you can't come visit and hang with the bros, bro.
This, I think, is very true. Its one of those things thats tough to come to realize and I think it's a huge step in becoming who you are. Like Erin said, you've gotta do whats best at this point, there will always be other opportunities.mikespeed95 wrote: if you cant be real about who you are to people then you dont have much to gain from those people anyways i guess.
