^yea.....i've already voiced my opinion with this matter on driftclubs
no thanks!!! I did that a couple of years ago with my accord. It cost me more money in the long run to fix it than actually buying real suspension. And, yes, I cut the springs slowly....i didn't heat them. by cutting them, it through everything off balance and eventually snapped my struts in half; literally!
cutting or heating your springs is the worst thing you can possibly do to a car IMHO. And I'll NEVER EVER do it again.
wow its amazing how much people just don't know. You have what is called progressive springs, ex. say it 1inch travel it has 100lbs of force
say at 2 inches it would have 300lbs. so cutting the springs would make the ride horrible, and over work the tire. Making your car handle like shit.
yeah stiff spring dont really mean crap if you still have stock shocks or struts, and i think if you take the spring of might as well just buy a cheep set of springs.
yea i'd probaly never do it either cause i got hookups on suspension parts...jus wanna see everybody's voiced opinions, i see who people who swear by'em and those who hate even the phrase cutting springs..
