yeah i know, just hammering that drivetrain every time you shift. I may not have a radio but damn thats hardcore.

well like it said, it just takes some getting used to. ya just gotta be a little softer on the clutch pedal in everyday driving. but when drift/auto-x events come around, it feels soo good to have all that clamping force and grab.

why yes it is. its an '83 XL250R that i'm using as a daily driver when its not raining. gets great gas mileage. my dad bought it back in '84 off the original owner.

Awesome! I grew up riding one. I think it was an 85 or something. My cousin was always jealous because I could pull up to the pump but we always had to go back to the house for him to refuel. I think he had a 2-stroke 125 or something. He had more torque and speed and all that jazz, but I always loved my 250. As expected I didn't ride as much once I turned 16 so the bike sat next to the shed outside for about 3 years, untouched. We decided to sell it and before we loaded it on a friend's truck we decided to see if it would crank. 2nd KICK!!! Honda knows how to build an engine!

haha awesome man. mine had sat for about 15 years unused. i had to replace the petcock and 1 fuel line. put new fuel in it and on like the 3rd kick it fired right up, after 15 years!!!!

anyways, its not a bad little bike. gets me where i'm going. once the car is back though i'm thinking of taking the insurance off the bike since i won't drive it much.

well its update time! here's some pics of the reman motor. this week i'll be assembling it to a long block state and hopefully have it in the car by the end of the month.

i got confirmation today from Racing Beat that my parts should be in this coming Tuesday so my car should be running in a week and a half!!!!

Looks like its coming along well. I can tell you have put a lot of work into her.

sure have, and even more money! damn thing has taken EVERY cent of EVERY pay check since February this year. so far the car has over $10,000 in it and i have nothing..... till its running, then i have a turbo 7 and it'll all be worth it.

It sure will be. I'm looking forward to seeing it.
