i'm reloading the welding wire in my MIG when i hear a clunk and some commotion in the garage. cody tells me there's a bird in there and i come out of the shop in the back of my garage just in time to see the bird nail the window of the garage door trying to fly out. after he hit the window he landed on cody's trunk in a bit of a daze so i opened the garage expecting the little bugger to fly out, but he just sat there staring off into space. so i went to touch the thing figuring it would go nuts and fly off if i got close, but to my amazement i was able to pet it without so much as making a fast movement, so i picked the little dude up.
he was just chillin on my glove for a couple minutes until i took him outside into the cold and he started to wake up a bit. actually as soon as cody went to grab the digicam he started geting antsy but we were able to snap a few pics of my latest odd wildlife encounter while working on a 240 before he finally snapped to and flew off to the safety of the bush.
that's rad dude. but what really caught my attention was you talking about a mig... is it yours or borrowed or what. if it is yours i might need to have a little chit chat with ya.
it's erin's own, and might i add he did a damn fine job hooking me up with some beads on my I/C pipes today .
only thing that sucks (on a completely irrelevant note) is that for some reason my low-beam headlights decided they'd take a shit today and now won't work on their own (they still come on with the high beams which made me think the fuse was blown, but the only 2 fuses for headlamps i've found are fine). oh well, driving home with the brights was kinda funny . guess i'll get to fixing that sometime in the next day or 2 though.
on the good side of things, the car did fine with the new welds up to about 12-13 psi on the way back (didn't wanna crank it up too much higher without it being tuned). thanks again!
hmm, i might try swapping them out tomorrow to see if different ones work.
you think both sides would just suddenly go out though?
oh yea, and if it makes any difference, i have noticed the battery and brake lights on the dashboard lighting up for a few seconds at a time (for no reason at all, they just come on when i'm driving normally) and sometimes as this happens i can see my headlights get brighter outside the car . it might not be related but it has been happeing more as of the past few days, and perhaps it's all somehow tied together.
Quick question for you. I heard welding and electrical problem, so did you weld on the car, use the car as ground. Or does the welding not connected to the funking electrical problem. In any case you should find a good wireing diagram, preferably from nissan. And check out what else is on the that circuit. Might have bad ground going on, that would be my FOERST place start, if the headlamp bulbs are good.

i've got a Lincoln MIG at my house and a Miller TIG that i've yet to bring home but plan on setting up sometime soon
now all i need is a lot more cutting tools; chop saw, band saw, lots of cutting disks for the grinder, a bench grinder, etc... oh, and a sheetmetal brake/shear/bender combo, a mill would be nice, and maybe a metal lathe .
.
