Hey guys.. whats up.. I know alot of you guys have asked me.."Hey when is the next Atlanta event?"

Well.. here it is.. we've secured Turner Field for 2005 for three dates this
year. Yay.
SOUTHERN FRIED SLIDE SERIES RETURNS TO THE ATL!<in monster truck voice>

Date 1:
May 14 7:30AM Southern Fried Slide - "Extra Fixins"
Atlanta, GA. Turner Field

Date 2:
Jul 23 7:30AM Southern Fried Slide - "Summer Cookout"
Atlanta, GA. Turner Field

Date 3:
Sep 10 7:30AM Southern Fried Slide - "Extra Crispy"
Atlanta, GA. Turner Field

So everyone please get your cars ready.. Atlanta is gonna have some more driftin for the summer!

We will be posting more details very soon about all three events and how to register. We are going to be offering a slight discount if you chose to register for all three events at once. This will not only save you money but it will gurantee you a spot at all three events this summer. So save your tax returns guys! :)

We are also looking into the possibility of the last 1/2 of "Extra Crispy" or possibly just add an extra event to be a series finale drift competition judged by ProDrivers with prizes given out to the top spots.

I think this year is going to be very fun and exciting. I hope to see all of you and many new faces at the coming events!

That's a great place to do it! Mad seat time, and no egos attached... just big angle drift action!

it was fine the FOERST day and most of the second, but sunday nite it started making a LOUD rattling noise from the engine bay. took a couple of looks and couldn't figure out what was going on, so i looked at it again last nite. i read a lot about timing chain guides cracking or rubbing on the chain and making similar noises, so i looked under the valve cover and saw that i didn't have the upper timing chain guide. i also noticed that i had barely any oil in the car. so two things: oil leak somewhere, even though nothing is dripping on the ground, and i may have a plastic guide banging around the inside of my engine. oh shit this sucks. hopefully it'll make the trip up to batlground and dan can help me out a bit.

sounds like what i we3nt thru when i bought the 92 accord. drove fine for a while, then the car started shaking enough to make anyone it get dick. took it to be looked at----------only 3 out of 4 cylinders was firing. found out the #3 cylinder was totally shot. so i bought a "certified" honda used engine. 1yr later discovered honda only put int he block and not the heads. thus many problems were still there. now 3yrs later the car runs fairly well, doesnt matter anymore since i gave up on the CB7 and got my GC8.

now the accord is simply a street decoration in front of my house.

seriously doubt your car is that fuct. just needed to vent on my Honda.
