Sometimes you're better off just staying in bed.

I haven't been posting much lately so I thought I would share a couple of stories.

So I'm working on the RD350 that I bought trying to get the carbs right and straighten out a few other things here and there. We determined that the coils and wires were shot. Replaced them with some swoopy accel coils and wires. They work very well. While tuning the carbs I noticed that one of the exhaust pipes was barely warm. At FOERST I thought it wasn't firing or maybe it just hadn't warmed up yet. So I touched the other one. Have you ever done something and thought "that was stupid" while you were doing it? Yep, burned the shit out of my fingers, but that's not the best part. About five minutes later I was going to ride the thing and see if perhaps some trash had blocked the fuel flow. I was backing it into the grass while revving the engine when something hit me, in the leg to be precise. It was about 30 or so thousand volts from the ignition coil. It went through my leg, up into my chest, and down my arm where it exited via the brake lever. Yowzers! My father asked me why I thought it happened. I told him I didn't care and I was done with that project for the day!

Fast forward a couple of hours. I am cruising down 85 on my way to a cookout at a friends house. Minding my own business, when some jerk cut me off big time! I was looking to get into his lane anyway so I jump into the lane where he was. Oh, I see, he wasn't being a jerk, he was swerving to miss that big ass Big rig retread now in front of me. BANG!!! Oh hell, I didn't need that pesky front spoiler and bumper anyway. I should have kept sleeping.

So, what do you think about this front bumper?

Dayom...when it rains it pours. Sorry you're going through a rough patch! I do love that front bumper, though. You think that's what you'll get for your car?

OMG!!!
Chris... you need a hug, man. That's awful from multiple angles!
Shocked, burned, and wrecked?!? Sounds like bad planetary alignment for reals. We're glad you're okay!

That bumper for the rx8 looks sweeeet! I dig it a lot!
Do you think you'll still make it out this weekend?

Damn thats the sweetest RX-8 Ive ever seen. Thats the way they need to look off the showroom floor. If the Mazdaspeed RX-8 handles half as good as my Mazdaspeed then that car will be unreal.
