Is it just me, or does that concept look a bit too...generic. When I look at it I see design cues from at least four other cars. It just doesn't seem very original.

Fantastic idea! Take the best part of each vehicle and put it together to create a final god-like vehicle.
Looks like thats what they did.. I love it!! But I'm a Supra Nerd for life! 450hp V8 isn't to shabby. Anyone that gets the V6 is a Homo.. Same principal as getting a V6 Mustang. Whats the point! Doesn't even look the same.
Any word on the price?
its been an i6 since the damn 2000gt, it is a fucking sacrelige and i hope it burns in the deepest pit of hell.
Yea but the new one is going to be a "V"-6 not I6.. Everyone knows that the I6 has been one of the most effective 6 cylinders around. The V6 is a no go in my book.
Now, if the V-6 was going to be twin Turbo then that would be diferent. But then they wouldn't be able to make it sequential and it wouldn't have the same WOW that the MKIV had. One of the reasons they had to stop sending the MK4 over here was because of emissions. The MK4 already had two cats on it and that's restrictive enough. You could gain 30-40hp just by removign those. Also Toyota wasn't making a profit like they were wanting.
Now the new V8 should pass emissions alot better and still make massive HP. 450 is more than anyone would've expected from Toyota with a n/a V8.
I"m still a fan and always will be..
Toyota makes great vehicles and I'm sure this one will be no exception. They're just to damned expensive.
