Well.. it was one of those insano runs... with me and my co-pilot Erik Jacobs.

Last insano run we did was Atlanta to Orlando and back in under 11 hours in a '04 Dodge Ram CrewCab to drop off a body kit. Average trip computer speed of 76 mph (including gassing up north of valdosta, buying dinner at Hardee's, chillin' for 1 hour in Orlando, and spending 1.5 hours going back to Orlando cause Erik left his keys at Jay Levin's house. LOL)

Today it was to Jhot Imports in Augusta to pick up a 5-lug setup and return before 11pm in the Subaru Outback.

Just out of Conyers, we were running with a pack of two other cars at around 95-115 mph for a distance of about 50 miles.

Needless to say.. all three of us encountered a rolling roadblock by the Taliaferro County Sheriff Dept. and Georgia State Patrol 40 miles outside of Augusta.

The two police cars pulled the three of us over onto the shoulder and into the grass. The officer walked up to my car and was really polite to me and just took my license and insurance and wrote me a ticket and sent me on my way.

The sin: ticketed 93 mph in a 70 mph zone
The luck-out: They tagged the FOERST car at 93 mph.. I was a little over 100 mph at the time trying to close the gap. How many mph over do I need to go to jail?

Total cost for this trip: estimated a little over $1200

Complete 5 lug setup: $450
Silvia Front end (impulsive buy): $450
Ticket for Speeding: $300-400?

Lesson Learned: It would have been cheaper to ship the shit. Or I need to stop driving so fast on long distance runs. :)

Yes, you are very safety driver Eugene. That really isn't that bad. If you would have been 1mph higher they could have cited you with reckless driving, 24mph over and above. Glad you guys didn't get locked up.

I thought about slamming on the brakes and cutting across the median and running the opposite direction. *Smokey and the Bandit-stylez*

However.. I don't think the SOB could outrun a Crown Vic.

actually i believe the law in GA is that an officer can cite you with reckless driving no matter what the speed on their discretion, but a speed of 30+ over is an automatic charge.
