Ok, so i've narrowed down my Intercooler search to these two intercoolers. They are both the same size core (24"x11"x3") with same inlet/outlet diameter(2.5"), and same bar/plate design.
They are the exact same core, but the endtanks are designed differently. One is more squared off, the other has some curve to it...
Why are they designed differently? what are the benefits to each design? and which one would you reccomend?
th idea of the more rounded one is to help push the air from that side of the intercooler to the outlet so you are not just using the 3 inchs of intercooler at the highth of the outlet.
well the tapered one was only 30 bucks more, so i went with that one. I'll post pics of the new IC setup when i get it finished in a few weeks. Im still needing an aluminum ARC BOV flange though. I bought one like 3 weeks ago but i think the guy may be flaking on me... Any other places i could try?
There is a cheap and or free i bet if you can find it microsoft excel program we used to use at work for getting the air flow in duct work, dut you can also inter in things like that, it will tell you and give you a little crapy pic of the air flow it may help though.
