was wondering if anyone elses car's have done this.

after the dg trials yesterday my tail and brake lights were staying on constantly only way i shut them off was when i unplugged them. I unplugged the brake light switch and unplugged the fuses to the brake light and tail lights and they stayed on. only thing i could figure was a short to ground on brake lights and the tails were shorted to the power side on the brakes. Also my ignition would not shut off, and the fuel pump continuously primed, last time the FP primed constantly the eccs relay was messed up. Even when i unplugged the ignition lock cylinder it stayed on?

sound like a short in the chassis harness.

in my civic the bracket on the brake pedal that actually pushed the button for the brake lights broke.

honestly the best advice i can give you is talk to carter.

A friend of mine was having this problem and he theorized that the button that the bracket pushes on the pedal assembly was sticking...you might check that when you check the button...

alright i'll double check the brake light switch, other then that figured i'd pull the majority of the chasis harness and start lookin around it with the multimeter see if i can find any shorts.

would it be the harness under the fron wheel fender?

has that been tucked up on your car, because you car sits pretty low.

you know I never even thought about that, through a couple of runs i had some pretty serious understeer, and i went off track twice, could have put a tire into the wiring and caused some problems. Thanks i'll check that out for sure. Although on the ignition side i'm not sure if any of that wiring goes into the fender weel or not though. If I can get on mitchell here at school i'll see if I can print out any entire wiring diagram for the brake lights and ignition.

i don't think brake lights run to the front of the car.

well they could...

no I was thinking with the fuses and relays up there?

I’m just throwing out ideas I hate wires (with a vengeance!)

talking to a few people and they said on some cars the front side markers are tied into the tail lights and possibly smashed some wires, but i will also double check the brake light switch.
